Delegates from Austria, Cypress, Latvia and Belgium, to Pay Official Visit to Georgian Police Academy of MIA

As the press centre of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia reports-‘‘On 22-23 October of the current year the conference with slogan- "the partnership of Georgian Police Academy with the Association of European Police Colleges within the framework of European co-operation policy" will be performed under the patronage of Police Academy of the Ministry of Interior. The conference will be performed in the attendance of the representatives of member states from the association of European Police Colleges. The above mentioned association has united more than 50 leading police academies throughout Europe. It’s also notable that the Rector of Police Academy of MIA, Mrs. khatuna Dekanoidze has been chosen of the post of Vice president of the Association of European Police Colleges.
Within the framework of the event the delegates from Austria, Cypress, Latvia, Belgium, Spain, Montenegro, Sweden, Estonia, and Netherlands will pay an official visit to Georgian Police Academy of the Ministry of Interior. During the visit the belateral agreement will be signed between Georgia Police Academy of MIA and State Police College of Latvia.
On October 22 together with the invited delegates from the "Association of European Police Colleges" the representatives from French and American Embassies also from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, will attend the scheduled conference which will be held in "Tbilisi Marriott". On October 23rd the meeting of executive committee of the association of European Police Colleges will be conducted with the attendance of the AEPC President, Mr. Maurice Petite, the Rector of Georgian Police Academy of MIA and the Vice – President of AEPC, Mrs, Khatia Dekanoidze, the Rector of Latvian Police College, Iagars Evardson, the Rector of Austrian Security Academy, Mr. Norbert Leitner, also the rectors from Police Academies of Austria, Poland and Sweden.
The above mentioned event can be estimated as an important step of progress aiming to intensify bilateral relations in the sphere of co-operation between police educational institutions and law enforcement agencies throughout Europe. ‘
