President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili visited Tbilisi flour mill together with Minister of Agriculture Bakur Kvezereli. Mikheil Saakashvili got interested in wheat supply in the country .
Bakur Kvezereli explained that there is sufficient supply of wheat in Georgia.
Mikheil Saakashvili spoke about food vouchers and noted that delivering vouchers will rather alleviate discomfort of the population regarding price increase on food.
“Some people compared the food vouchers with couponization. Georgian currency is steady compared to what it was in the 90-ies. We give these vouchers to the people to compensate the shock caused by price increase on products,” Mikheil Saakashvili stated.
President gave order to the Minister of Agriculture to end delivering food vouchers to the population by the end of March.
Davit Bakradze and Rusudan Kervalishvil to Depart to the U.S.
Chairperson of Parliament of Georgia Davit Bakradze and Vice Speaker Rusudan Kervalishvili will depart to the U.S. next week .
