Defense Minister visits Georgian soldiers in Afghanistan

Defense Minister Tina Khidasheli and Chief of General Staff have visited the Georgian units participating in the Resolute Support mission in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

According to the Defense Ministry's press service, initially the Georgian delegation visited the Central Command base in Kabul. Tina Khidasheli attended the information briefing held by the head of the battalion.

The Minister met with the Deputy Head of the Resolute Support mission. Future plans of the coalition forces in Afghanistan and possible participation of the Georgian contingent were discussed at the meeting.
