France foreign minister Bernard Kushner arrived in Georgia yesterday evening. His visit aims at observing fulfillment of Russian commitments.
Bernard Kushner has already set out for Gori today morning and will observe situation in South Ossetian zone with EU observation mission car.
Kushner will return to Tbilisi after this and hold meetings. French minister will go to Batumi at about 16:00 where meeting between him and Georgian president will be held.
After meeting with the president, joint announcement will probably be made. Bernard Kushner will return to his homeland from Batumi.

Solana to Visit Georgia Tomorrow, September 30
The European Union's foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, will visit Georgia tomorrow, September 30, to discuss an EU monitoring mission in the Georgia's conflict zones.

More than 300 European Union staff -- civilian monitors and support – are already in Georgia, and had begun deploying to field offices in western and central Georgia, namely in Tbilisi, Gori , Zugdidi and Poti. The mission launches its work on October 1.

Cindy McCain is planning to meet with Georgian First Lady Sandra Roelofs, as well as to visit ‘Town of Tents’ and Gori.

Parliament Approved unanimously Issue regarding Prolongation of State of War in Georgia
The Parliament of Georgia approved unanimously the issue regarding the prolongation of the state of war in the country.
The state of war, initially imposed on August 9 for two weeks, has been prolonged till September 8.
‘Nothing has changed since August 9.Russian occupants are still on our territory, some units of Russian army have only regrouped from Gori to Tskhinvali. Until Russians stay on our territory, Georgia will stay in the state of war. ‘- Gia Tortladze, the chairman of Strong Georgia – Christian-Democrats stated .

Russian Tanks are Stopped in Village of Karaleti at Moment
It is calm in Gori by now. Russian army has left totally the territory of the city. Several explosions were to be heard last night. Blasts occurred at the dislocation station of Georgian army. As it seems, Russians mined many places in the city.

The representatives of the European Council – Matyas Eorsi and Castro Islam will visit the places of residence of internally displaced persons on August 20.

Elmar Brok and Otmar Karas, the members of the European Parliament Will visit Georgia today, August 19.
As InterpressNews was reported in the press centre of the Parliament of Georgia, the delegation will hold meetings with Davit Bakradze, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia and Davit Darchiashvili, the Chairman of Committee on European Integration of the Parliament of Georgia today.

Georgian police will patrol Gori from today.
The locals will be able to return to their dwelling houses after Georgian police enters the city of Gori.
According to Vano Merabishvili, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, traffic movement on the Gori –Khashuri main road line will be restores already today.
As the Minister stated, traffic movement was blocked till Natakhtari till now. But the traffic movement is supposed to be restored till Igoety.
‘We will control the whole road main line and safeguard the safety of the locals. We will shift our patrolling on the road section ahead every half an hour.’

According to Shota Utiashvili, the head of the Georgian Interior Ministry's analytical department, the situation in Gori is very heavy at the moment.
