We were getting ready for war against Georgia, - Russian president Dmitry Medvedev made such announcement yesterday in interview to three federal channels.
‘We were getting ready for this war. The result of this preparation was minimal losses in Russian army. Russian army destroyed Georgian military infrastructure. We avoided such actins of inhuman character’, - Medvedev stated.
One of the main themes of Dmitry Medvedev’s interview was confrontation between Russia and Georgia and events developed in Caucasus. Dmitry Medvedev admitted start of war against Georgia several times.
He says that start of war activities was decided personally by him.

Youth of Kutaisi Protested Bombing of Georgian Cities by Russia
Students and young generation, residents of Kutaisi, held a rally in Kutaisi on August 9 to protest bombing of Georgian cities and towns by Russia.
After the protest rally they left Kutaisi for Zugdidi by buses. About 400 young people from Kutaisi held another protest rally at the Enguri Bridge, where they were joined by students from Zugdidi.
Young people appealed Russian peacekeepers to leave Georgia.

Putin Leaves Peking and Arrives in Crisis Region
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin left Peking on August 9 and arrived in Vladikavkaz, in Russia's North Ossetia region, Vladikavkaz, BBC reports.
According to BBC, he has condemned Georgia's actions and said it is unlikely the breakaway republic can now be reintegrated into Georgia.
