Putin Leaves Peking and Arrives in Crisis Region

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin left Peking on August 9 and arrived in Vladikavkaz, in Russia's North Ossetia region, Vladikavkaz, BBC reports.
According to BBC, he has condemned Georgia's actions and said it is unlikely the breakaway republic can now be reintegrated into Georgia.
The Prime Minister was visiting Peking due to Olympiad.

Lithuania Latvia and US to Establish Special Websites on Their Servers, where Full Information about Current Events Taking Place in Georgia to Be Disp

Lithuania, Latvia and the US will help Georgia by opening special websites on their servers, where information about the current events taking place in Georgia will be displayed.
In this way these countries are assisting Georgia in the informational war launched by Russia against the country. With the help of these sites the world will be informed about the aggression accomplished against Georgia.
Eka Zghuladze, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, stated about it at the special briefing at the State Chancellery on August 9. According to her a special fund will be set up, where sums transferred from the state budget and other international organizations will be accumulated.
According to the Deputy Minister, Georgian armed forces control Tskhinvali and the areas of the strategic importance. In addition the Government of Georgia works in a special regime and internally displaced peoples are provided with shelter. She also added that Georgia has enough reserves to solve the existing problems, though Georgia will welcome any aid from the Friend Countries.

There was released information that foreign and Russian journalists request assistance in leaving Tskhinvali.
According to existing data, they address Georgian authorities to assist them in leaving Tskhinvali.

Poti Port Is Paralyzed

Due to bombing of Poti Port late at night on August 8, a special briefing was held by English Director of ‘Corporation Poti Harbor’ Alan Middleton on August 9.
He spoke about the fact of killing innocent people and financial damage inflicted to the harbor.
‘The Harbor is not a facility of military destination, it’s a commercial structure. We’ll file a complaint against Russia to international court’, he noted.
According to him, workers are evacuated from the harbor; the facility is paralyzed, what has negative influence over economical accounts and investments of the enterprise.
According to him, the ships which were sailing to Poti Port have to sail back.
The Port will restore functioning only after when there is no threat from Russian bombers.
