Russian Aircrafts Bombed Military Base of Senaki and Patriots Camp of Ganmukhuri

Russian aviation attacked Senaki a few minutes ago. Shells hit the military base of Senaki and the vicinity of the base.
Russian fighter jets bombed Patriots camp located in the village of Ganmukhuri, Zugdidi region as well.
Information regarding casualties has not been confirmed until yet. Several have been wounded.

President Condoled with Families on loss of their Family Members

Mikheil Saakashvili, the President of Georgia condoled with families on loss of their families’ members who became victims of the latest developments in the country.
The Government of Georgia is doing everything to end the crisis: - remarked President of Georgia in live television address held today evening.
As Mikheil Saakashvili stated the current developments will go into history.
‘We knew that our country would face just examinations, as Georgia has chosen the way of real and free state. Our country did everything to prevent confrontation in Tskhinvali.’ – declared Mikheil Saakashvili.
As Saakashvili said he has been in Zugdidi today.

Russian Peacekeepers and Georgia Side Agreed on Non-Using of Military Aviation

Sergey Chaban –the Commander of CIS Peacekeeping Forces in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone and Zaza Gorozia, Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region concluded an agreement at the meeting in Chuburkhinji.
The agreement implies non-using of military aviation by Russian forces in the territory of Georgia.
Though, Chaban has remarked that the agreement does not implicate the territory of Tskhinvali.
Russian peacekeepers will control 12 km zone according to mandate. Besides, according to the agreement, representatives of the UN, Russian and Georgian peacekeepers will patrol together in Zugdidi region, namely in 12 km safe zone.

Russian Military Units Intend to Attack Zugdidi in Next Hours

Russian military units intend to commit attracts in direction of Zugdidi in next hours.
The chairman of Parliament of Georgia stated the following.
‘Unfortunately, we face the attempt of a large-scale occupation of Georgia. It is the attempt to repeat the year of 1921.We would not let it happen. We will unite and repel the attacks of Russia.’ – Declared Bakradze.
The chairman said that the situation is stable in the country, and added that the President of Georgia personally is in head of the defense of then country.

Emergent: Russia Military Units to Attack Zugdidi

Davit Bakradze - the speaker of Parliament of Georgia has made a statement shortly and stated the Russian units intend to attack Zugdidi.

Emergent: One Person Wounded during Bombing of Urta Village

It became known for the moment that several houses are damaged in Urta village being bombed by Russian aviation this morning. Shells were dropped at the entrance of the village.
Towers of ‘Magti’ and ‘Geocell’ cellular companies are also located in Urta village, though they were not damaged as a result of bombing.
Russian aviation bombed villages Urta and Old Abastumani of Zugdidi region, at about 8.00am on August 10.
Target of Russian aggressors was one of strategic facilities located in the village of Urta.

Emergent: Russian Aviation Has Attacked Villages of Urta and Old Abastumani of Zugdidi Region

Just several minutes ago, Russian aviation has attacked village Urta of Zugdidi region and village Old Abastumani located 6-km distance away from Zugdidi.
According to existing information, one of strategic facilities is bombed in Urta village.
Several shells have been dropped in the village of Old Abastumani as well. This village is densely populated and the base of Russian peacekeepers is also located there.
As a correspondent of the InterpressNews reports, the Georgian side opened anti-aircraft fire, though information regarding dawning of a bomber has not been obtained until yet.
News about casualties is not spread as well.

Youth of Kutaisi Protested Bombing of Georgian Cities by Russia

Students and young generation, residents of Kutaisi, held a rally in Kutaisi on August 9 to protest bombing of Georgian cities and towns by Russia.
After the protest rally they left Kutaisi for Zugdidi by buses. About 400 young people from Kutaisi held another protest rally at the Enguri Bridge, where they were joined by students from Zugdidi.
Young people appealed Russian peacekeepers to leave Georgia.
